I have decided to post my thoughts here because it is of a political nature and if I post it on my facebook page I would have to close for all the scourn I would recieve. My wife and I were walking through D.C. yesterday and what came to mind was that all of the stately buildings reminded me of Las Vegas. Which one is the real thing? The Lincoln memorial reminded me of the temple of Artemis. It is all real, in a fleshly sense, however seemidly good or bad. We met the woman married to the most powerful leader in the world. You know, the one who only recently became proud of her country. I wanted to ask her, Why am I still having to pay my mortgage? or My car recently broke down. Will you have a brand new one waiting for me when I get home? or When is your husband going to take his first lesson in economics or capitalism or liberty? or How does it feel to be the dictator in cheifs wife? I held my tongue. What does it matter anyway? The, what I once considered good, looked bad to me, such as Lincoln sitting on his throne. As a believer in Christ I am not of this earth. I am a pilgrim a sojourner. My citizenship is in Heaven and my Life if his with Christ in God. Too many people put their faith in governments, countries and this earthly life or flesh. Christ is over all and above all. He controls everything and will bring everything into submission. He will bring the Hitlers and the Reagans and the Obamas down. Most importantly as a believer He has given me Life now, not a hope for the future, but lifted me up to the heavens where my citizenship is at this very moment.
